We first met when I was a junior in highschool and he was already graduated. Our two best friends were dating at the time, so we crossed paths often exchanging in glances, smiles, and small conversations.
I went off to college and would come home for breaks. When I would go over to Kailey and Lee's house I would text her, "Is he going to be there?" because if he was, I needed to look my best. There were moments when we would catch up, exchange messages, or see each other during those breaks, and it always felt like something was there. But we were both caught up in the whirlwind of new beginnings, and our timing just wasn’t right.
But then, after college, things began to change. We found ourselves back in the same place (Kailey and Lee's house), at a time when we were both ready for something real. We’d grown, matured, and figured out more about who we were and what we wanted from life. This time, when our paths crossed again, we didn’t let the moment slip away. What was once an unspoken possibility became a beautiful reality.
2 years later, My best friend Shelby took me out for a girls day. Little did I know, by the end of the day, Hayden would be standing next to the big Christmas tree in the shops of legacy waiting to ask me to marry him. Of course, I said yes. I can't wait to see what the future hold for the two of us. I love you, forever.
